Answers to common questions about applying and enrolling.


- Though we allow a candidate to sit for the admission test before publishing the HSC/A level result as an appeared student, he/she must show the result before taking admission.
ForBPharm, candidates must have -
  • Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum grade of ‘A-’ (GPA 3.5 out of 5.0) and Physics, and Math with a minimum grade of 'B' (GPA 3.0 out of 5.0) in SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent separately to be eligible to apply.
  • Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum grade of ‘B’ (GPA 4.0 out of 5.0) and Physics, and Math with a minimum grade of 'C' (GPA 3.0 out of 5.0) in A-Levels to be eligible to apply.

- The admission test is held three times each year at NSU. One admission test for each semester.

- All admission information is available on the NSU admission website admissions.northsouth.edu or one can call 880-2-55668200 ext. 4001 or email via admissions@northsouth.edu to know information.

- Once a student is graduated from North South University, he/she is academically qualified to face challenges in professional life.

- During the verification process candidate's original copy of SSC & HSC or 'O' & 'A' level result will be verified.

- It completely depends on a student which program he/she will choose. Though NSU focuses on each program with the highest priority. All of our teachers have been completed their masters from esteem foreign institutions.
- The candidate has to email through admissions@northsouth.edu by mentioning the name and confirmation code and what program he/she will take in terms of the previous one.

- Each year we arrange 3 admission tests (1 per semester), so if an applicant fails the test, the applicant can apply again in the next semester.
- We provide financial Aid/ Scholarship based on admission tests with academic merit evaluation. We provide up to 100% Merit Scholarships to the TOP TEN scorers in the admission test and over 100 more Scholarships up to 75%. We provide scholarships for freedom fighters' children and siblings waivers.

Yes, it is possible to complete your undergraduate degree in less than 4 years at North South University, depending on your academic performance and course load. However, the majority of students take 4 years to graduate.
Usually, a student has to take a minimum of 15 credits or 5 courses. A student can take a maximum of 27 credits or 9 courses in a semester.
But it depends on the department and the student's CGPA.

Applicants from a Bangla medium background who do not fulfill the admission requirements will not be eligible to sit for the admission test.

Applicants from an English medium background who do not meet the requirements have the option to resit the exam to improve their grades and fulfill the North South University admission criteria.

Admission test is waived for Foreign students. They don't need to sit for the admission test.

They have been advised to email all their academic documents to our email address before applying for the admission test. The admission team will evaluate the academic documents and provide feedback accordingly.

A two-and-a-half-hour admission test consisting of English Grammar, vocabulary, Quantitative Aptitude (General Math), Reading comprehension, and composition. In addition, there will be a 30-minute drawing test for the Bachelor of Architecture candidates. The Quantitative Aptitude part of the Admission Test requires the ability to solve SSC/O-level math problems. Applicants are advised to revise their math skills.
